Okay, this is just pure, unadulterated craziness and fun.
The aliens are SO cute, and there is a wide variety of them
that you will be capturing and collecting as you search
around the Earth for them.

Moon Flight

A very beautifully artsy game featuring an awesome anime protagonist babe.
It’s a jumper action game, but the cool art and actual inclusion of a story
about ruins and witches on the moon make it stand out.

Quiz RPG: The World of Mystic Wiz

The fantasy anime art for this is SOOO BEAUTIFUL!!
Interestingly, you collect cards and do battle by answering various trivia.
Can you face down your friends and enemies with random trivia fact?!?
It’s cool just collecting the awesome art work on all of the cards.

Okay, I just discovered this game today while searching for other games to feature, and I fell so deeply in love with it I am going to give it its own feature rather than listing it among others~

Fairy Doll on iTunes!

A cute cinematic at the beginning of the game details that fairies came to the human world, but many people could not see or interact with them.  So, fairies took the form of dolls, so that they could live among people.

You get to name your personal Fairy Doll as well as input a name for yourself as well.  None of the pronouns are gendered, so you are allowed to imagine yourself as any gender.  And while all of the customization options for your Fairy Dolls are feminine in appearance, again, there are no gendered terms used, so you are allowed to think of your Fairy Doll as any gender as well~

Gameplay is mainly in the form of doing Work and Study tasks to increase certain personality traits for your Fairy Doll.  It is a bit like Princess Maker in that regard.  However, you are allowed to look at what the requirements are for each of the target personalities, so you are free to see beforehand what personality stats you need to be building toward and schedule your Work and Study tasks accordingly.

Additionally, Fairy Dolls have not one, but two personalities – one to act as their main type, and the other to be a secondary one.  I am working on making mine a Sweet Angel, so she needs a ton of Kindness!  Other personalities include Tomboy, Tsundere, Cool, Gentle, Demon, Princess, Warrior, and Yandere, among others.  You are even allowed a preview of what kind of dialog your Fairy Doll will use when they are attributed to any of those personalities!

Fairy Dolls talk a lot, not only specifically in conversation when you choose to chat with them in their room, but they will also comment on whatever tasks you are currently working on.  A lot of the dialog is cute, cheerful, encouraging words!  It just feels really good and happy to be playing this. Such a good feel-good, pick-me-up game!

The game is free to download and it seems that it is very generous about rewarding you with currency, outfits, accessories, and upgrades, without requiring you to put real-currency investment into it, but the option is there if you choose to.  I am surprised by the customization options available for free and after only playing it for a short amount of time today!  I’m pleased with the presentation of my cute pink-haired Fairy Doll in a frilly fantasy maid outfit, surrounded by flowers and magical mushrooms – which is a goal that would almost certainly require days of grinding or shelling out for premium items in other mobile games.  And several gacha items are available every day, too – and I’ve managed to get some valuable, cute items from them, not just junk!

That’s about all I have to write up about Fairy Doll for now~  I’m enjoying it, it’s just so cute!  It’s really exciting seeing adorable anime fantasy fairies in the itunes marketplace, and the fact that it’s actually a decent game experience is sugary sweet icing on the cake.

Do look into Fairy Doll on iTunes if you are as smitten with this cuteness as I am!

Okay, this list is going to be for my own use as much as anyone else’s, LOL!

The Awakening series of adventure games is beautiful – the art is fantastically gorgeous, like looking through a vintage fairy tale book, and the storyline is exciting and adventurous!  It is softer and sweeter on the side of fairy tales, compared to a game like Otherworld, which is grim and haunting.  Sometimes, you just want to play something nicer!

Well, I encountered a problem when I looked for more Awakening games to play – I had no idea what order they went in!  So, after reading a bit, here’s a neat, handy list so that both you and I can check them out chronologically and enjoy the story from beginning to end.

Awakening: The Dreamless Castle

The first in Sophia’s storyline, The Dreamless Castle details her awakening
in the abandoned palace, alone, to set off on her adventure
to find what happened to everyone else!

Awakening: Moonfell Wood

Sophia travels to these woods after braving the lonely castle.

Awakening: The Goblin Kingdom

The mountains of the Goblin Kingdom are Sofia’s third destination on her adventure.
This is the highest rated of the Awakening series!

Awakening: The Skyward Castle

This was the first in the series that I played, when I picked one at random;;;
I thought the title was cool, it reminded me of Skyward Sword!

Much like Skyloft, Sophia’s adventure leads her to these islands in the sky.

Awakening: The Sunhook Spire

Sophia’s adventure is reaching a climax, it won’t be much longer after this
before she understands the mysteries that have followed her this far.
She needs the help from an enchantress of the Sunhook Spire to undo
the curse that she discovered in the previous game.

Awakening: The Redleaf Forest

The final chapter in Sofia’s story, one where she must forge the Blade of Courage,
which will save everyone!!

Awakening Kingdoms

Although this game was actually released between Sunhook Spire and
Redleaf Forest, for continuity’s sake I figured I would place it here in the list.
Kingdoms is a free-to-play game that came out where you play as
a steward of the castle, tasked with helping Sophia
restore the palace to its former glory!
There are a variety of minigames and adventure puzzles included within it.

Awakening: The Golden Age

Now that Sophia’s story is concluded, the Golden Age picks up as a prequel,
detailing the warring events between humans and monsters that occurred
long before the palace Sofia knew had met its curse.

To explain the influx of games on the iOS platform I’ve been writing about, I must share something with you.  It is the year 2015, and I have never held a smartphone in my hands until just a few months ago. o_o  So, all of this time, I have heard about apps and games coming out on the platform, but I never had the technology to check it out for myself!

So, I’m a little overwhelmed by the options and I’m constantly on the lookout for new experiences that are cute!!  Here is a small handful of RPGs I’ve encountered – maybe you will like them, too!

DemonSouls

Not to be confused with another game of the same name!
There might be a lot of ladies in the art work,
but really, you’ll mostly be seeing the male protagonist’s
exposed chest more than any other.

Notable for being among the iOS RPGs available to play for free
without pay-to-win tactics involved.

Defender Hero

More of a puzzle-y strategy game than an RPG,
but the art style and fantasy setting earn it a place in this list!

Dawn of Magic

Even the title of this one brings to mind the Mana series of games,
although it relies on old-school turn-based battle format
rather than the Mana series’ action battles.

The cast of characters are very cool, I enjoy the art a lot!

An arcade action game with cute heroes!!!
And that’s what’s most important!!

Fantasy Adventure

An action strategy RPG, again with lots of cute characters!
You get to choose a party of 4 in this one rather than adventuring solo.
I love the beautiful environments and settings!
