Ninja Chicken. These are the stars of the comic, Ninja Chicken and Pirate Penguin, who experience many nonsensical misadventures together. The characters and their designs belong to Ray Friesen, who is a silly person. If you enjoy laughing, which most folks do, <a href="http://www.donteatanybugs.net/" target="_blank">check out his site and read his comics</a>. It was oodles of fun drawing these characters. Their designs are completely unlike anything I could ever come up with on my own, so it was cool to experience drawing something from another artist’s imagination. The color palette and unique shapes of the characters (diggin’ Ninja Chicken’s swirly-spiky ‘do) are elements that I’d never think of incorporating into my own work, so making this was different and fun. c:

So, I went with PRETTY PLANTS. Even though the Violet Family already exists – my belief is that Violetchi is NOT PRETTY ENOUGH. Hopefully my growth chart is pretty clear. Seedtchi is the baby, and depending upon how it’s taken care of, it may grow into either Sproutchi or Rootchi. Rootchi only grows into Apputchi as an adult, but Sproutchi may become Purantchi or Himepurantchi (a character that, in my imagination, would require a special item before evolving!). Prettymuch this whole thing was just an excuse to draw Himepurantchi. :3 This was especially fun because I don't normally do monster designs, even though I'd like to. When people complained that Drawn to Life wasn’t that innovative (usually the claim was that anything you drew was just slapped over a template), I think that’s when THQ started trying to figure out a way to make their puzzles and level navigation more interactive, eventually leading up to Scribblenauts’ “Write anything, solve everything” format. So, I went with PRETTY PLANTS. Even though the Violet Family already exists – my belief is that Violetchi is NOT PRETTY ENOUGH. Hopefully my growth chart is pretty clear. Seedtchi is the baby, and depending upon how it’s taken care of, it may grow into either Sproutchi or Rootchi. Rootchi only grows into Apputchi as an adult, but Sproutchi may become Purantchi or Himepurantchi (a character that, in my imagination, would require a special item before evolving!). Prettymuch this whole thing was just an excuse to draw Himepurantchi. :3 This was especially fun because I don't normally do monster designs, even though I'd like to. I feel like Drawn to Life was THQ practicing for Scribblenauts. Even the sound effects used are similar. When people complained that Drawn to Life wasn’t that innovative (usually the claim was that anything you drew was just slapped over a template), I think that’s when THQ started trying to figure out a way to make their puzzles and level navigation more interactive, eventually leading up to Scribblenauts’ “Write anything, solve everything” format. So, I went with PRETTY PLANTS. Even though the Violet Family already exists – my belief is that Violetchi is NOT PRETTY ENOUGH. Hopefully my growth chart is pretty clear. Seedtchi is the baby, and depending upon how it’s taken care of, it may grow into either Sproutchi or Rootchi. Rootchi only grows into Apputchi as an adult, but Sproutchi may become Purantchi or Himepurantchi (a character that, in my imagination, would require a special item before evolving!). Prettymuch this whole thing was just an excuse to draw Himepurantchi. :3 This was especially fun because I don't normally do monster designs, even though I'd like to. I feel like Drawn to Life was THQ practicing for Scribblenauts. Even the sound effects used are similar. When people complained that Drawn to Life wasn’t that innovative (usually the claim was that anything you drew was just slapped over a template), I think that’s when THQ started trying to figure out a way to make their puzzles and level navigation more interactive, eventually leading up to Scribblenauts’ “Write anything, solve everything” format.
