Maybe you’ve noticed that I like sewing cute things with felt. I wouldn’t have gotten started with this craft if I never read about it first!

Here’s a collection of books that will more than get you started on your own cute, cuddly crafting. You’ll learn all of the techniques and equip yourself with more patterns than you can shake a needle at!

Big Little Felt Universe: Sew It, Stuff It, Squeeze It, Fun!This is a great introductory felt sewing book. There are more than 70 projects in here including food and toys, such as cakes with removable decorations! The techniques are simple enough that beginners can pick up on them easily, but there’s so much packed in here that experienced crafters will find tons of inspiration as well.

My Favorite Felt SweetsThe book offers detailed, easy-to-follow directions, as well as life-sized patterns, for 106 different projects! o_o Sheets of colored felt and basic sewing skills (and sometimes a little glue for the final, decorative touches) are all that are required to whip up these luscious-looking and guilt-free confections. Yum!!

Warm Fuzzies: 30 Sweet Felted ProjectsFelting is a bit different from the typical sewing-with-felt that I’m into, but thanks to the difference in technique there is potential for creating new and different things! This book encourages using old wool sweaters – a trip to the thrift store could supply you with everything you need. There is no knitting involved!

Aranzi Aronzo – Cuter BookThis wouldn’t be a proper cute sewing post if Aranzi Aronzo weren’t included here! The Cuter Book is a follow-up to The Cute Book, and between the two of them are patterns for hundreds of unique cuddly characters. There’s a special flair to Aranzi Aronzo’s projects… there’s a simplicity to the characters’ designs, but SO MUCH FUN to them, too!

Super-Cute FeltAnd this is a great finisher to this post, thanks to the huge variety of simple projects it includes. The categories in Super-Cute Felt include Accessories (think brooches and small purses!), Gifts (pincushions!), Homewares (coasters and tea cozies!), and Celebrations for holiday-themed cuteness.

This is all reminding me that I need to get back to work on my own instructional sewing book! o^o

Barbie is a lady I spent an awful lot of time when I was growing up. :3 In my adult years, I appreciate her all the more! I haven’t stopped admiring Barbie dolls at all, and always make a trip down that shockingly pink aisle whenever I’m paying a visit to the toy store.

Barbie in A Mermaid Tale 2 Merliah Transforming Doll Mermaid Tale 2 is the newest CG Barbie movie that’s been released. And yup, I’ll admit it… I watch them sometimes. . 3. I like the warm sunrise-y colors of this doll! Especially the streaks in her hair! n3n

Barbie In a Mermaid Tale 2 Mermaid Doll and Sea Lion Pet Set Another doll from the new movie. The mold of her face is different, but kind of cute! And I thought the sea lion coated in glitter was just fabulous.

Barbie Flower ‘N Flutter Fairy Barbie Doll The colors!! *o* THOSE WINGS!!! *O* Okay so the fantasy and fairy scenarios are my favorites if you couldn’t tell… But the details are what’s important! I thought her face sculpt was super pretty and… LOOK AT THOSE SHOES!!

Barbie Princess Fantasy Dress Up Doll Wuahh if I still played with Barbies, I would soooooo be all over this little collection. ;~; The designs of those dresses are just perfect. Reminds me so much of the fantasy adventures I’d come up with for my dolls. This one wardrobe inspires so many stories for adventurous fairy princesses~

Barbie Princess Unicorn – Purple (There is also a pink one) OHMYGOSH LOOK AT THIS PONY. OAO IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL. gwhfwgszfwgggggggggggghhw unicorns. You guys. You don’t even know. O__O

Okay.

Okay that was almost too exciting for me.

Now I need to take a Barbie break before I just… spend all of my money. oAo

Maybe I’ll watch another one of her movies…………………….

Sometimes I open up Corel Painter and I’m like “Man, why don’t I use this more often?! It’s great!” and then I’m like “why do these colors turn white when they try to blend with each other” and “why do the edges look awful when I paint on the layer below this” and “why aren’t any of the shortcut keys NORMAL” and other technical things that are annoying…

So here, finally, is my Thundercats fan art. I don’t think Tygra looks quite smug enough. He also has the weirdest hair ever.
