This is a REALLY CUTE AND SWEET magical girl series!! It’s pretty retro, with loads of bodacious 90’s outfits you’ll get to see on the characters in their casual clothes, and tons of classic anime tropes (like her step-sister’s GREAT ojousama laugh).

The storyline is SOOOOO sweet – you will get so invested in Himeno and her triumphs as a magical girl, while she struggles at home with her new, rich family. Being surrounded by the handsome dudes who offer her their powers, the Leafe Knights, offers some happy salvation (…when it isn’t adding more drama).

A cool detail unique to this magical girl is that her costume and powers are different depending on which knight she connects with!! They are all REALLY cool!!

Oushitsu Kyoushi Heine (sometimes also spelled ‘Haine’) has been one of my FAAAAAVORITE anime in recent seasons!! It is SOOOO heartwarmingly sweet and makes you feel sooooooo good, of the warm-and-squishy comfort variety.

And the setting!! WOW!! It takes place in a fantasy version of an Austrian royal palace, and the anime isn’t shy about showing off beautiful royal halls and architecture – and the beautiful princes that live within them. Seriously, this show is SO beautiful! (And, LOL, don’t giggle at their hometown being named ‘Weiner’ – its name is based on ‘Vienna,’ LOL).

Also catch the live-action ending dance at the end of episode 7! Those are the stage actors for the live stage version of the show – they are the same actors who play the voices of the characters in the anime!

Magic-Kyun! Renaissance is an otome series which follows the growth of the heroine as she masters her ability to create magic through art (her affinity is flower arranging).

The cast of handsome dudes each specialize in their own art, such as painting, singing, culinary design… there are seriously SO MANY, and I appreciate so much to see so many art media commemorated~ And in the fantasy rules of this magic school setting, art is what manifests magic in the world!

HOW COOL IS THAT!!!

Anyway, enjoy these sweet-natured stories~ As an added bonus, each episode also includes a beautiful insert song! The cast of voice actors is excellent so it’s really exciting hearing them sing!
